I have a 92 civic dx hatch and I think it's a 1.6 not 100%
I need an ecu and i wanted to know which parts may be exchangable.
current ecu= 37820-P06-A00
740-538690
Is all I need the P06-A00?
Thanks

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one
Re: ECU question
37820, all the ECMs use this prefix but you need to use the number when you specify parts. You might end up with a trans controller or a cruise control if you don't specify the first set of numbers.
Looking at a catalog for 92, 3door, USA market Civic
I see 10 different choices for the ECM, depends on CX VX DX SI, AT/MT, and KA or KL emissions. Only one will be right for your car.
(Canada probably throws a whole bunch more possibilities in the mix.)
37820-P06-A00 supercedes to 37820-P06-A01, and A01RM. Looks like the only choices that match your ECM.
Consider sending your old one out for a rebuild? Check with major parts stores, most offer this service far cheaper than a new ECM.....but you gotta find someone that knows about it.
