91 civic annoying seat belt alarm
91 civic annoying seat belt alarm
Can anyone help me out? I got a 91 civic sedan and the annoying seatbelt indicator flashes and makes the obnoxious sound when I'm driving around when my seatbelt is on. Is this a fuse or how can I stop this sound?

Re: 91 civic annoying seat belt alarm
US cars had a lifetime warranty for seat belt safety defects (see your warranty booklet to be sure of this).
See if a dealer will cover it. (Technically, it probably isn't a safety problem so don't hold your breath.)
If the buckle didn't latch securely, that would be a safety problem.
My GUESS would be the switch inside the buckle is bad, or the wires broke.
