hid headlights

I was thinking about getting hid for headlights. But are the blue or purple colors good to drive with?

Re: hid headlights

I'd recommend going with anything between 4500-6000k for the color temperature of the HIDs you get. A retrofit is the way to go, but you can get away with them in halogen projectors if you aim them correctly. If you put aftermarket HIDs in reflector housings without a shield, they're gonna produce a massive ****-ton of glare, and that'll attract the po-po as well as **** off other drivers.

Re: hid headlights

they are not good to drive with. i have a pair of 5400K osram bulbs stashed away and prefer regular 4300k instead. the whiter the light, the harder it is for your eyes to see at night. if you dont care about brightness or live in a well-lit city, then go ahead with the whiter bulbs for bling factor.
