few things
1.i have a kenwood dnx5120 radio (i called kenwood and they were nice and tryed to help me fix it but nothing worked ok basicly its on standby and the only thing it will do is eject a cd (which it turns on to do but u cant see screen with that) the on and off button wont turn it on. they said id have to send it in and get it repaired. does any1 know whats wrong with it?
2. does anyone know where i can get an rf choker for a 4 gauge power wire going to my amps?
3. would that help with the whirring from the speakers when i rev the car. the remote and rc cables were right next to the power cable now im rounting on other side of car will that help?
4. also how do i make my dnx5120 pick up my subs as being subs and not speakers. its got an option to turn on subs but its grayed out and i cant get to it.

Re: few things
1. I'd say it's broken! Not much you can do except send it back or buy something new.
2. A what-now? You shouldn't need anything like that if you wired the stereo properly.
3. The 'whirring' you hear is called Alternator Noise, and it's one of the most annoying sounds you can get (Trust me, I ran into it a while back too). The most common cause of this problem is running your audio cables (RCA wires and Speaker Wires) too close to the power wire for your amplifiers. Looks like you're doing just that.
You should *always* run the power wire on the opposite side of the vehicle from the audio wires. It has been suggested on the boards previously that the driver side is best for power wire, as it also has the Fuse Box, which could cause interference. This means the autio wires (RCA) would be run along the passenger side, free of interference from the power wire.
4. If you look on the back of your deck there should be three pre-outs (RCA Jacks). Front, Rear and Sub. Make sure your RCAs for the amp that powers the subs is plugged into the correct spot. You most likely have it hooked up to the rear speaker jack instead.
