Exclamation HIDs and TYC

Will a set of 10k HIDs cause problems with TYC projectors? I am more worried about the heat the bulbs will create and a chance of it melting the housing? Any advice with HIDs?

Re: HIDs and TYC

i have seen melted chrome inside tycs before from using hids. also the h1 hid bulb will not fit inside unless you do some trimming of the projector. (and usually this causes plastic pieces to fall inside the headlamp). and when you finally manage to fit them it, the output is total crap.

I didnt have to shave anything to get mine in, and there is no melting, they actually seem to run cooler. I am swapping them and doing my retro when I get a weekend of decent weather...got all the parts
