Power Issues
While I'm driving at night I notice that sometimes when my subs hit the lights dim. What can I do to prevent this? Would a capacitor do it or what? Thanks in advance for the help guys!

Re: Power Issues
a cap MAY do it. but its reccommended not to do that. its just a bandaid. either get a high output alternator (lots of searchable DIY's on here), add an extra battery for audio, or get used to it (no malice intended)

Re: Power Issues
get catz zeta ballasts, its like voltage regulator for your headlights. they will never dim again. even if the battery is only supplying 11v, the lights will always get constant 15v+
Re: Power Issues
i added extra batts and 2 cap to power my system i have a total of 3 batts and 2 caps and now have plenty of power =) i have a 4000 watt amp powering two high end dual voice coil subs ina band pass and another 1000 watt amp powering two 12" subs in a open air box reminds me of a truck box..
