Crossover mounting location??
Crossover mounting location??
I'm about install new front component speakers in the doors. Where is the best place to mount the crossover? I was thinking about in the door, for ease of wiring, but that doesn't seem like the best place. Maybe behind the kick panels? And any other tips are appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Re: Crossover mounting location??
Mine are in the doors for ease of wiring. I have done kick panels in the past but that might be tight. You can go underdash but there's a lot going on in the underdash area on our cars so I'd be worried about the potential for noise to get picked up by other wiring, etc.
I think with a good, solid mount door might be a real good choice for ya.

Inside of the door, after you remove the panel. I would screw it in. The foam block is glued on the inside of the door panel, adds a little more stability and some sound deadening.
