i bought neon lights and installed them under the dash. my friend and i cut the 2 of them and soldered them together. then we soldered the power for them to the outlet power. we did this so i have a switch for the neons and can still use the outlet(for charging my phone). i tried it today and the outlet doesn't work. is it because we soldered the neons to the power of the outlet?

yea the neons work with no problem. yea we did plug in the outlet

Not a blown fuse, Could be a poor coonection. Try re-seating the connector. Grab a volt meter.
