Lowered 02 lx tire size
I'm currently running a 205/40/17 on my car. It's been lowered 2 in all around. I'm about to buy new tires and was wondering if I could run 45s on them and if so, what width (205, etc). The rims are 17x7s.
Thanks

Re: Lowered 02 lx tire size
Yes you can.......and actually 205/45 is the ideal tire size for your wheels. When you switch to aftermarket wheels, you want to stay within +/- 3% of the overall diameter of your OEM wheels/tires.
If you look at this comparison, a 205/40 is actually 3.06% too small (which means you are driving slower than your speedometer reads).

Change it to a 205/45 tires however, and it is only a 0.28% difference, with is pretty much right on the money.

Re: Lowered 02 lx tire size
rustycivic gave the correct reply and it answered even some of my queries that I was having. The difference of 0.28% is not much if you aren't going for some upscale and hardcore mods. For other purposes it would just run fine for you. Good luck. :tup

Re: Lowered 02 lx tire size
I'm lowered about that far, and I've been rocking 215/45-17s with no issues.
