Hi Everyone,

I just got the front pads replaced, rotors machined, and brake fluid flushed and replaced for $250 out the door. I bought the pads from the mechanic. Does this sound like a reasonable price?

I know I should have done some research before having the work done, but I want to find out now so that I don't get ripped off in the future.

Hmm... Seems expensive to me but I don't do my work at the mechanic.

Also, these are Canadian prices.

Should be no more than 20 dollars each rotor to machine them
Brake pads cost around 60 bucks for both sides for medium quality.
One hour labor should be no more than... 70 dollars?

SOoooooOOoOO... 170 dollars is on the high side...

Do it at home for 100 dollars...

Don't forget, when you buy parts at the mechanic they usually JACK the prices, and a lot.
