Breaks sinking???

so ive recently gotten a 93 civic coupe from a friend and it seems there were problems that werent told to me before the hand over...such as the breaks...the problem is when i step on the breaks it seems to sink almost as if i was touching the floor...some friends told me it could be the master cylinder , break fluid , or even break pads...was wondering if anyone else who had this problem as well would know what exactly is wrong with it that way i can get it fixed immediately !

Re: Breaks sinking???

It could also be the brake booster itself. I would start by looking at the brake pads and go from there.

Re: Breaks sinking???

its usually master cylinder. check your brake fluid too, is it low? there might also be a leak in the lines.
