Yo i got a 2001 honda civic ex thats fixed up. Just recently my rear brakes squeek a little, more noticeable when next to a wall or wutever. Brakes are perfectly fine, its just when i let off of the brake it does. I checked the rear brakes not to long ago and they still got some time till they need changed. Is it just simply rubbing against something stupid or need to clean or greased up or something? Is it easy if so?

it could be the warning squeak that is letting you know they need to be changed.

yur brakes prolly need to be greased.. when they service those cars the tech is supposed to lube between the shoes nad the backing plate.. if it id doing it when u let off the brake and thats it... then thats it.. just have the end of each shoe between the shoe and the backing plate greased.. BUT JUST A LITTLE BIT!!! if u put to much u cant totally destroy the brakes.. youll get grease al over them and the parking brake wont work the way its supposed to.. hope that helps you out good luck
