Lip Kits

First post here.

18 years old, South Florida, going off to school soon.

Been lurking here for a few months now. I like the forum, like the people, and decided to join.

My first question is that of a noob:

If you take a look at my sig, I've got an 05 ES1.

I'm not new to cars, mind you, but you can flame me for a noob if it makes you feel good.

I've been putting money away, been a while since I've put a car together. I'll be welding up my own exahust, ebay header/intake, that sort of thing.

Drop it on Eibach/Blues.

OEM 15" si wheels.

But, I want a clean lip kit for sure.

I've done a lot of searching here, but there's also a lot of info.

From what I gather, J's and Mugen style front lips will fit.

EL or RS-style sides will fit.

And I'm at a loss for a rear lip.

What am I looking at here? What will fit, what wont?

And most importantly, where to get it?

Flame away, I'll take it.

-Josh

Re: Lip Kits

Hey man welcome, also look into the OEM style lip kit. Check handa-accessories.com for the prepainted OEM lip kit. Dont know much more than that about lip kits.

Re: Lip Kits

Rep'd +1

Thanks for the welcome.

I basically live on Handa.

They've got a kit for the EM2.

I hear the front will fit, no problem, mod's needed for the rear, and the sides won't fit.

Questions:

-What's my best bet for sides?
-The 01-03 EM2 lip won't work with my ES1 front end, correct?
-What kind of mods are necessary for the rear? Just DIY brackets?
-Any other kits?

Chime in, tell me what you've got on your car.

Re: Lip Kits

Anyone know if the sides off an EJ6 will fit on my ES1?

I've got the opportunity to pick some up for a negligible amount of coin. I'll just make some DIY brackets if I have to.

2000 Sedan SIDES...Will they fit?

Re: Lip Kits

I don't see any problem with your questions. Unfortunately I don't know the answers. I can tell you that I just ordered my EL sides from Canada. They will fit.

Re: Lip Kits

EL sides sound like a good, strait-forward option. I'm just trying to save a few cents

Re: Lip Kits

Get it and try it. If it doesnt work sell it. Or you can measure it first to see if its the same length of the side of your car.

Well if your dippin alot on curbs going onto the street I would suggest not buying one. Mine got ripped off about a month after I installed it because of a big dip in a curb. They will break and rip off on you cause they are really rigid abs. Try to get something a little more flexible.
