2002 ex vs si

I bought a brand new 2002 Honda si VTEC from the Honda dealer back in 2001. went to go by the mechanics today and he told me when he runs the vin it comes up as an ex model. Does anyone know anything about this?

^^^ either that or a canadian model.

If it's a coupe or sedan, it's a CDM Si/USDM EX (e.g. has EM2 or ES1 as the 3rd-6th digits of the VIN)

If it's a hatch, it's a CDM SiR/USDM Si (3rd-6th digits will be EP3)
