03 LX with 317,000 miles on factory engine, a couple of weeks ago when I did the timing and head job on my car I noticed that the previous owner obviously neglected the car and didn’t do proper maintenance. Apparently they let alternator belt go so long without replacing it that it broke, when that happened it dig into the bottom timing cover. After removing bolts and all my friend and I saw the cover and decided it needed to be replaced ASAP. My only question is do I have to buy the seals for the upper and lower cover? I was going to purchase the new covers from Honda’s website but didn’t quite know if I had to purchase the seals or what. Has anybody had to buy new timing covers?

The covers comes with the seals from Honda.
