Fuel pump working but not putting fuel into fuel line

Fuel pump working but not putting fuel into fuel line 2003 civic ex not getting fuel into line past quick connect at the filter. Pull off the quick connect line after trying to start and gas runs out of the filter/pump assembly. Removed quick connect and it is not blocked. Any ideas??? Thanks

Pull the assembly out of the tank and see what happened to it?
Out of gas?
