Rear Roof Antenna (Purely Cosmetic)
Rear Roof Antenna (Purely Cosmetic)
I'm interested in buying a subtle roof antenna to mount above the center of my rear window. I'm not trying to make my car look like a BMW or an EVO, I just like the style that a small roof antenna adds. I won't be using it as a functional antenna, it will be purely cosmetic.
Has anyone else mounted a roof antenna on their ES1? Even if you haven't, I'd love to hear some feedback on what style you think would look best.

Re: Rear Roof Antenna (Purely Cosmetic)
GIS for "roof antenna":

Nah, I can't see this even on the most obnoxious ricermobile.
Sorry, had to do that.
Were you thinking of the long antenna such as on the Hybrid Civic?

Or the short antenna such as on the FIT?

Or a "fin", or something else?
If you get the right setup, you could actually use the antenna and connect it to your radio with (hopefully) minimal extra modification, probably just moving wires around and purchasing an adapter (or splicing).
You can get them with built in Satellite antenna too, if you think you might ever go with XM radio.

haha, yeah, I did plenty of image searches before posting about this! (even though the image is not showing, I'm just assuming it's a photo of a roof antenna for a house. duly noted, and worth a laugh.) lol
And no way in hell would I get one like on the hybrid. (In my opinion, yuck.) not going with an old school (sorry, "classic") antenna. something more like the Fit for sure, or maybe a fin, but probably not.
It's not at the top of my to-do list or anything. It's certainly lower on my priority list than getting a new stereo, which will indeed have Sirius XM, so it's functionality I supposewill be something to consider after all. Thanks for the reply

Exactly right LOL. I didn't realize the site wouldn't allow hotlinking. It worked ok in the test preview.
