okay im not stupi i know that the exhaust set up is different between an ex and an lx. but im wondering if i buy a megan racing ex catback, can i get a downpipe from my manifold/cat to bolt up to the exhaust to make it work?

If you're going all custom piping, you can make anything work.

Another route would be to grab an ex exhaust mani/header, ex downpipe/cat, and bolt it up to the cat-back. You'd also have to extend your O2 sensor wires for that to work, also.

okay thanks. yea i really like the megan racing cat back thats why i was wondering. because ive seen some exhausts made for both ex and lx, but for the lx they have an extension pipe. i was wondering if that would work

I think that was covered in the sticky.

Answer: yes- the extention pipe just extends the exhaust up to the LX's header/cat combo so it bolts together, without it, there would be a big gap with the EX exhaust on an LX or DX
