Paint?

Last night I was backing out a driveway, and ended up scraping my rear driver side quarter panel. It's not in anyway damaged besides some paint scrapes. Have anyone of you used the Honda touch up paint? Or should I just have it repainted? I'll post pics when I get back home from work.

Re: Paint?

Hard to guess the extent of the damage without seeing it

Honda touchup paint works, but you'd still need to wet sand and polish

Re: Paint?

That's what I figured. Is it cheap to wetsand and polish? Like 300? Just saving for a wedding and don't want to spend too much. Thanks for replying.

EDIT: Uploaded pic of damage in first post.

Re: Paint?

The extent of the damage is too much for just touchup paint

If it was a small crack or rock chip touchup paint works

Re: Paint?

Definitely not what I wanted to hear, but I am prepared to repaint if necessary. Around how much would you guess that would cost?

Re: Paint?

yeah you are gonna have to get the bumper and rear panel repainted which is gonna be prolly $500 at least. for a temp fix to make sure the panel doesnt rust, clean the area and sand any visible rust (or use a rust dissolving gel). then get a bottle of touchup paint and a round foam detailing pad (remove the outside cloth layer so you only have the foam) and use that as a paint brush by saturating it with paint. it can get messy, but its the best way to get results without a full respray. it worked for me on some straight areas like that.
