muffler question

i am looking to get an aftermarket muffler for my 2001 civic dx. what is the inlet size i have to use for one? all help is very much appreciated

exhaust pipe should be a 2.5"
If it was me, i'd rather not spend 50 bucks on a muffler, and another 50 on welding, and rather just buy a bolt on catback for 100~150

If you're not planning on boosting it, you could opt for a 2.25" even. I'm running a 60mm (2.36") cat-back, and I had that when I had a turbo in my car.
