How to remove paint?

So the Idiot who owned my car before me painted components of the motor bay. And it looks horrible as you can see in the pics. Any idea how to remove the paint while it’s still in the car?

Re: How to remove paint?

brake fluid will work
although judging by this **** poor paint job you can probably soak a rag in gas or acetone and most of it will come off

Re: How to remove paint?

Lots of rags if you go the acetone route. Probably easier to remove valve cover and strip it off the car. Not hard to remove it

how do you remove the valve cover? Is it just those five bolts and it comes off?

Plug wires, bolts, yeah.
You may want a fresh gasket for the valve cover. And a little RTV for the corners
