beyond stumped with hesitation problem

I got a 94 civic vx 132k miles i got a few months ago
Managed to find a set of vx rims and got some descent tires on it
First thing i noticed is input shaft bearinf is bad.currently looking for replacement trans while i rebuild this one.(not even 100% sure if its a vx/cx trans but thats what im looking for.

It has had a hesitation issue under light acceleration and stops after 3k rpms
Iv changed the oil.previous owner had reg oil i replaced with synthetic
Previous owner said hesitation was from pcv valves and the grommet being bad.i replaced the grommet and both pcv valves.

Theres a hole in the pipe b resonator system but a shop put a clamp on it for now making it a lottt quieter

Problem still occured.mind u im also getting no CEL at all.

Replaced ngk plugs wires.cleaned iacv.cleaned throttle body.new tps and recalibrated.that fixed the very slow dropping rpms.checked the timing with timing gun timing is right on.

Wierd thing is i replaced the fuel filter and the hesitation stoped.car ran a lott better.
I did a complete sea foam treatment right before my next oil change.while driving i noticed at some of the higher rpms i was getting reeeeealy awful hesitation. after 30 miles i did another oil and oil filter change.not the SAME hesitation issue is back.even replaced the fuel filter again.this time with a different much higher quality one from a different parts store.thought the fuel filter got reclogged again from the treatment. Spark plugs look clean too.

Im almost half way thru the tank of the sea foam treatment.still getting the original hesitation still no CEL.any suggestions? I want to try and get this fixed before the transmission since in only barely getting 30 mpg a tank.

My map sensor screw is stripped this is one thing i was wondering about replacing.

Also could something in the distributor not be working right even the timing is right?
Any help much appreciated in restoring this vx

Re: beyond stumped with hesitation problem

The injectors have individual strainers on them. I had some tank issues myself at one point and bought a cheap replacement fuel filter. apparently it musta had a hole in it for it passed a lot of fine particles to my injectors. lucily the injector filters saved them. With injectors partially clogged you would have lack of power and possiblly also rpm. cleaning injector filters are not hard and if you are not afraid to try it can be done in under an hour, but plan on two just in case.
