Just picked it up. Tell me what you think. 93 civic ex coupe

I just traded my 97 buick park avenue I bought from my bro-in-law for a 1993 Honda Civic EX Coupe. Paid $1700 for it. The guy I bought it from is a well known mechanic and car dealer here. Good friend of mine. He's doing all the mechanic work on it for free, plus he wants to teach me. So I'm getting a good deal, I think.

The cars CV joints in the front wheels are going out, the AC don't work, rattle in the dash, butterfly valve is sticking, and exhaust has a hole. He's buying me an aftermarket exhaust, replacing the CV joints, fixing the butterfly and AC, and anything else that needs work. He's gonna teach me everything, were gonna do bodywork too. I wanna paint it Blue or Black. Not sure yet. Just need input on what to do.

This is my 3rd car. First one was a 1992 Honda Accord with 200,000 miles. Bought it for $75. Gave up on me at 275,000 miles so I junked it (stupidly) for $300. Made my money though.

Second car was that 1997 Buick Park Avenue. Was messing up on me, plus it didn't like to go fast, only got it to 130mph and it had hardly any torque (yes I know its a luxery car). Now I got this Civic for $1,700 and I'm picking up a nice 1994 Integra tomorrow for $500. Plus a friend has another Accord he'll sell for around $200 that runs good.

So there ya'll go. Thats where I'm at. Don't make alot of money, work for my dad, $10 an hour, but I work my *** off doing woodworking. I love cars, primarily imports, and I'm no ricer. So yea, need input. Thanks

It seems like you got a good deal, but what exactly are you looking for an input on? What engine does the Civic have and what engine does the Integra have? I'm guessing d16 and b18. Personally I like the civic's D16 over the Integra's B18 but that's all up to you. Regardless, I don't see why you would buy 3 cars. Personally, I would stick with your Civic and fix it up. With the $700 you wouldn't be spending on 2 extra cars, you could get a lot done. Civic parts are cheap and plentiful. That's just my opinion on this situation, but I hope it helps.

Even though I taped it off and put plastic around it, I got a bit of overspray. Does anyone know how to take it off?
