so i aplogize but i need help plz

ok so i really dont know where to post this so my apologies anyways, i just bought sylvania silverstar ultra headlights. I installed them and they are not as bright as my stocks, my stocks are brighter!!! I have a 1995 honda civic ex coupe stock projector headlights oem i guess you could say. Anyways i really need some help and guidance as to what bulbs to buy i need the brightest, best downroad visibilty and most importantly the best bulbs for peripheral vision that is a big must i would go the hid route only problem is i have the stock reflector housing and i have done my homework and know that they look like total crap with glare and horrible cutoffs. So long story short i want the best halogen bulb to give me the best peripheral best down road visibilty and most brightness cuz every bulb i have tried has just been horrible imo. i dont know if i should just upgrade my housings to ebay projectors or k2motor projectors please someone i need help desperately

the bulbs will brighten the existing beam shape, but the actual pattern and spread is produced by the reflector and cannot be changed by the bulb. have you thought about retrofitting some hid projectors in there? ask around on hidplanet.com im sure 95 civics have been done before.

You could try adjusting the horizontal adjustments on the headlights. They may be set to narrow if your not getting a good peripheral field of view. It's quite easy to do. Just park the car in front of a wall so you can see the beams of light and then access the adjusting points with a Phillips head screw driver. There are two access points one for vertical adjustment and one for horizontal (two on either side of course).
