im working on a 95 dx wit 216000 miles on the body and roughly 60000 on the engine. the cars in pretty decent shape and running order but at the same time needs a lot of work. im 20 yrs old and have wanted a civic since i was 16 and now that ive finally got one i am excited to start my project. so, i am asking for any suggestions as where to start to get this car quick and preferrably as jdm as possible. where to start on a low budget???

I think you need to define 'low budget' and after that decide what you want to do on your own or let a shop do. For example, some here would be totally comfortable doing an engine swap from the D15b7 to a D16z6 or the later B18 engines, but that's something that I'm not really sure that I would want to tackle by myself. Once you decide that, find the many many many build threads here and see what others have done and decide what you want to do to your ride.

low budget for me is no more than $4-$5000 over a bit of time to start out. i definately want an engine swap but havent yet found a reliable source for a true jdm d16 or b18... im jus lookin for a general jdm source all together for this project. i wanna find **** like jdm type r seats, carpets, guage clusters, basically all interior mods. then simple jdm exterior. primarily i want a j-spec drivetrain and possibly turbo it. i dunno. ive messed with camaros and mustangs before and this is my first import project so im basically clueless. good jdm references would be appreciated and sum quick affordable tips to squeeze a little bolt on power out of what i got now (d15) to hold it over untill the swap. thnx
