Do you know the maint history of the car. If not
change the oil.......if the oil looks really thin and dark as hell you can bet it was not taken care or correctly. Then there is a whole list of things you should do.

ya... u mainly have to view it as u need to do it all change the oil spark plugs and the wires... u also should check hoses and change them if needed flush the raidiator.... check ur timing belt... just do all the basic maintance unless ur just going to do a swap ...
