95 Civic EX
95 Civic EX
Hi, i recently purchased my eg and it has a d16z6, everything was fine with the car until the crank pulley bolt magically broke, im still having trouble getting it out but ive done research on that so im still working on it, but my question is where can i find a replacement crank pulley for it and is it a matter of simply replacing the belts with new ones and sticking in the new pulley or might my timing gotten messed up. keep in mind i drove the car from the moment it started rattling to the moment i got home to check what it was so about 10miles. also, are pulleys the same for automatic and manual? any help would be great i live in southern california so im sure there has to be some specialty stores where i can find this damn pulley.
p.s. are the ebay underdrive pulleys reliable? the price is very enticing but i dont want to mess up the engine just for going cheap.

Re: 95 Civic EX
first off, if it was just your crank pulley it would not have effected timing in any way. you are safe there. second i would be careful with "ebay special" underdrive pulleys, it is hard to find reliable aftermarket parts on ebay. i would stick with oem replacement parts if you are looking for dependability. once you get that broken bolt out of the crank, it should be as simple as puting a new pulley and bolt on. if the belts were damaged then replace them also. you should be good after that. i hope i helped...
