Looking to do a GSR swap for 95 Civic

Title says it. I was wondering if anyone could help me out with what i need for this. I wanna use a B18c1 with a Type R trans. For now until i get the supercharger. I know this is what ill need. Fully Assembled Engine, Trans, ECU, Clutch, Axles Motor Mounts, Obviously the wiring harness. Do i need to change out the hubs for the GSR axles to fit? I wanna get my list together before i buy anything. So i can make this as easy as possible as i have never done a swap before. Im sure i could figure it out just looking for second and third and fourth opinions and so on. Thanks for any help anyone can give me.

It looks like you have it coverd for the most part. The teg axles are what you will need to use.

Will those axles work with the factory hubs that are in the car?

thats pretty much the best vtec motor you can have, it will bolt in no problem but you will need to do some fabbing for limited slip transaxle.

One thought that i had....will i have to swap out the fuel pump too? Im sure the GSR engine uses more fuel then the D16 thats in it. Im hopin this swap takes me a weekend to get right. Ill post pics as i go along too. Oh and what am i gonna have to do for the LSD? For the time being i was gonna put the Type R trans in it until i got the Jackson for it. Doesnt the Type R have an LSD already?

Re: Looking to do a GSR swap for 95 Civic

i havent done the swap so i cant give specific details, but makes sense about the fuel pump. you may want to see what the pressure is on the D16 fuel line and compare that after the swap. theres a chance it will run just fine, since alot of those systems are designed to run much higher than they actually need to. just face each problem as it comes.

Re: Looking to do a GSR swap for 95 Civic

Yea i guess ill just have to take the issues as they come up. The fuel pump isnt my biggest concern..its the axles. I wonder if the GSR axles will work with the stock splines in the hub. And now im considering doing a type r swap cuz i get the type r swap for about the same as the GSR. So nows it the type r axles im worried about. If anyone has done a swap let me know what the deal is. I think the 8lb jackson kit comes with a fuel pump for the setup. So thats covered i just gotta figure out some other stuff. Thanks

The axles depend on the year you get.. 94-01 will work with the stock civic wheel hubs..
