Rep Power: 0 Installing cruise control on '90 CRX auto trans
I was at junkyard yesterday and noticed a '91 Civic DX auto trans w/cruise. I thought it might not be too difficult to install on my '90 CRX auto trans. car. Has anyone done this? First items I noticed were:
1) the cruise control module on the drivers side motor mount w/throttle cables to the throttle body and also back to the pedal assembly;
2) steering wheel w/cc buttons;
Things I didn't immediately notice:
3) probably a "cruise" light in the instrument panel;
4) " some sort of module under the dash;
5) " some sort of speed pickup...tach wire off distributor?
6) maybe some sort of vacuum accumulator? &
7) brake pedal disconnect.
What else?
would some of this wiring already be present in the stock CRX harness?
Thanks

i dont remimber all the nitty gritty dietails but i do know tha tonly the 90-91 LX and EX sedans came with cruse. from these cars u can get the actuator (as u described) the sterring wheel for the buttons, the cluster for the light(all should be compatible i thing the 90-91 were wired diffrently but worth the oem look), and the cruse switch, and the CC brain mounted above the gas pedal. i'd get the plugs too in each componit and just tie into the points needed. the saftey switch should allready be in the shifter switch on the shifter.
