1990 motor in a 1996 car? i would advise you find a newer block to drop in your hatch.

b20, different, its nice to see somebody doing a hatch and not a b16 or b18 for once.

the B20 in the 2.0 Si lude and the B20 in the CRV are way different. To make a good swap you would need the B20 block from a CRV rather then the engine you are thinking of using.

hondaguru is right. wiring in that engine would be a head and a half. you would be goin from OBDII to OBD0 or PRE-OBD, which would make things difficult, not to mention youre better off finding a new B20, considering it would perform MUCH better and has a lot less mileage/wear...

well its a B20z which is better for running all motor right?
to raise compression couldnt you get a thinner head gasket?
just like if you want to lower your compression, just double up
or get a thicker head gasket.
