Yeah, lots of bolts there. Which ones, specifically?

how did you snap two? why didn't you stop after the first one broke?

how tight did you get them? If you start taking stuff back apart can you a get a big pair of vice grips on it and back it out that way?

Re: Broken Cylinder Bolt :(

I can't use vice grip because the there are no appearing bolts to hold it back , i broke 2 because i was thinking that the way to unscrew them is clockwise not counter clockwise any way no body learned for free

I am really not trying to be insulting here, but if you don't know which way to turn the bolt, you should not be doing a head gasket replacement by yourself. You also broke 2 bolts off because you where either over tightening them or you where turning them the wrong way. If anyone told you this is a beginner job, they where lying.

If you don't have a service manual, then get one. If you don't have a torque wrench, get one. Assume all bolts unscrew counterclockwise unless otherwise stated in your manual.

Send pics, it's difficult to imagine what is happening from your written description.

I hope that helps a bit.

after you broke the first one and thought you turned it the wrong way, why wouldn't you try the other way on the second one?

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

Re: Broken Cylinder Bolt :(

I'm glad I'm not the only one that still has no clue as to which bolt OP is referring.

edit: just hit me. How did you snap a bolt in the engine. You're much more likely to strip out the threaded hole than you would be to snap a fastener.
