When I first bought my car last year I thought I'd be all cool and make it loud - big ebay fart can muffler and a short ram intake.
After a few months I became sick of the muffler's loudness so I put the silencer in it and it quieted it down a lot. But, this winter has been rough on it - lots of rust spots so I'm looking to replace either just the muffler or full exhaust. I hear the apexi ws2 is nice and quiet but sort of out of my price range. The yonaka knock off is more in my price rang but I was wondering the quality of it. I like the sound of it (quiet but deep) but I don't want this to rust over next winter like this ebay one. Also, is just the yonaka stainless steel muffler good quality?
I'm also thinking about replacing my intake - I have an ebay short ram pipe with an aem dryflow filter and it's quite loud. Are there any aftermarket intakes that are quieter? I don't really want to go back to stock but I don't know of any quiet short rams.
Pardon the long post.

I'd say stick out the sound and save up for the WS2.. That's just my opinion though.
Sound/vid clip of mine, for reference.

Keep in mind that if you're rocking just the cat-back, it'll be quieter than what mine is. I have a kamikaze ceramic header and high flow downpipe adding to the noise
Don't know what to tell you about the intake part though.

He's better off getting an aftermarket exhaust like the WS2 because it'll last much longer, especially living in NY. He'll come out ahead.

Seems like everybody like the ws2. I'm thinking about saving up for it.
Anyone have a yonaka? i've heard theyre comparable to the ws2?

another way to quiet down your car is get a dynamat hoodliner (they go for about $100 on crutchfield) but it's gotten fantastic reviews and really works as advertised.. it's a bit expensive but it's apparently worth every penny

I just got the ws2 full catback and i will say it is the best purchase i have made for my car. it feels like driving a totally different car now. I have had it for about a month and no complaints. I would highly advise saving for this it looks nice on the car its not too flashy has a great sound and overall is well worth the money
