If you want to dig deeper and get more efficient exhaust flow, one of the cheapest mods is to install a test pipe, this removes your catalytic converter so in smog states it can't be used. Its very cheap/easy to do.
On our 6th gens we have an OBD-II computer system, which is more advanced than the previous generations. With that said your engine with throw a CEL (Check Engine Light) unless you extend the O2 sensor from the test pipe (sounds difficult, but its stupid easy/cheap)
Here is a link to an antifouler for the test pipe (general application)

the 06+ civic is tricky, due to the MAF sensor. you need a well constructed intake so the engine light doesnt come on. I would only recommend K&N or AEM. WR and Injen there have been problems reported due to the MAF sensor not installing and sealing properly.

I'm not sure, but be a little more specific. Are you talking Intake manifold, or the air intake? Irregardless, I know next to nothing about the 7th gen. Maybe someone can chime in?

Re: Ask your intake questions here!
is that link working? I try to open it from this page and it won't let me open it.
I read that I don't need a name brand intake, but I just need to get a good filter like AEM. is this ok?
If i buy this intake can I just get an AEM filter to replace the one that comes with it once I get a bit more coin

Installation of OEM air assembly 1996 civic HX
Hi,
I'm wondering if anyone can guide me to connect all the lines to OEM air intake assembly. I have Short Ram instake installed by someone. I need to remove this and install original air assembly back for the smog purpose.
I can install it with no problem, but can anyone show me how / where to make connections for the lines (hoses).
Regards

Re: Ask your intake questions here!
Where does this hose plug into? The service manual isn't very clear on this hose and where it goes. It's a 2000 Honda Civic EX with a D16Y8 Motor.
Edit: Never mind, I picked the motor from a 99 Civic that doesn't have the FIA Control Valve.
