whistling noise again

ok, so like i said before, i installed an injen intake on my 97 civic lx and right when i put it on and est drove it the engine was whistling @ certain points of acceleration. i heard from other forums that its completely normal, but it starting to **** me off. is there a way that i can bypass this, maybe cleaning, tightning something? just let me know or otherwise i might just end up selling the intake. thx in advance

Re: whistling noise again

the biggest thing about the new intake is that fact that you can now hear your intake. basically the more throttle you give it the louder its gonna get. and yes at a certain throttle position its gonna whistle. i can make my car do it on command. but you are also letting the car breathe better by letting more air flow into the throttle body. intakes make noise end of story. if you dont like it then i guess selling it is your option.

Yea, well I already got used to kinda "playin music" with it, so its all good now. And usually when I'm not in the mood of hearing it, I just shift early and listen to my muffler shouting its tunes. =). Thx

yea its a air intake man you are going to be able to hear it suck in air before your car was having a air time getting air because of all those bs pipes that come stock. you will always be able to hear it but in return your car can now breath better getting better mpg and a few extra HP
