D15B vtec turbo conversion

I have en ej9 (originally 1.4) and have planned to convert it to jdm d15b with turbo. I have the d15b fully stripoed down to the block as i want to upgrade as much as i can. Ive heard of a few brands to go with for piston heads but i cant seem to get a straight awnser for piston rods?

Pick a well known and proven brand. Usually you get what you pay for.

Are you going to bore or not? What kind of power are you looking to make? What kind of tuning software are you using? Most importantly, what's your budget?

Eagle rods are a great choice. I'm pretty sure Crower makes some as well, but it really depends on what you want to do with it. I'd personally just buy a Vitara piston/rod combo kit from eBay and go with it, but you seem to be wanting a lot more power than I'd want haha

yeah i probably will but im not the most knowledgeable when it comes to this stuff would i need to put on a low comoression head gasket if going for the vitara piston heads as ive heard they are shorter so should lower the compression? And either of those brands of rods exact same size as d15b rods?

Re: D15B vtec turbo conversion

Just read. There are tons of forums where people have made 500+whp with d15b's.
