I just got a 97 honda civic today from a friend. He said he was driving and the car simply quit moving in any gear. Then he went back the next day and got a bit further before it quit again, engine doesnt shut off etc. Car is very high miles 300xxx. Just trying to figure out what things to check first without wasting money where it isnt needed. I havent seen the car myself yet picking it up today. Thanks a ton guys!

Its an automatic sorry lol. I was able to get it to go into reverse very briefly and drive but only long enough to back out of the spot and load halfway onto trailer
