2000 Civic DX Oil Pan Gasket
2000 Civic DX Oil Pan Gasket
Hey guys I'm trying to get the oil pan gasket replaced on my Civic. I can't find any good in depth explanations of how to do it though. What would the specifics be? Like what's the bolt pattern, torque amounts, what all needs removed to remove the oil pan, which gasket should I use, any gasket sealant needed? Thanks for any help. This is my first Honda so I'm still a little in the dark about how to work on it. But man I can tell you these Civics live up to their hype!

A good service manual should have most of that info.
Parts catalog should tell you what the gasket is. If it's got a stamped steel pan it probably uses a flat rubber gasket..
