Hello guys, this will be a long post so please help me out cause I don't know what else to do.
About two weeks ago, Check Engine came up, Code P0401(EGR) I cleaned the EGR passage by taking off all the injectors and stuff and taking the EGR passage plate and brushed it and used brake cleaner to clean it up. I put everything back together. Car starts right up the code for EGR goes away. I leave it for over the night.
Next day, Which is today(May 29) I was driving in the high way started noticing that the car was back firing crazy. Then check engine light came on. I got a lot of codes. P1399, P0300, P0301, 2, 3, and 4. P1163 and P1165.
The car misfires and sounds like a WRX when under load. I noticed that I forgot to change the O Rings and washers on injectors and I thought I saw gas leaking from the rail. So i bought the rings and replaced them on all four injectors thinking that cause the problem. But I was wrong still there.
So, I did a little test myself, took off each coil one by one and every single one of them was creating the spark.
No I did look for vacuum leak but i couldn't find anything. Can anyone help me out please. This is my only car so fixing it ASAP is the first option.

P0301- Cylinder 1 misfiring
P0302- cylinder 2 misfiring
P0303- cylinder 3 misfiring
P0300- random / multiple misfire detected.
P1399- Manufactures control Ignition system OR Misfire.

Check to make sure your exhaust manifold isn't cracked. Could be a cracked/broken piston ring, could be bad injectors, with out really diagnosing it all the way it is hard to tell online.

Im gonna do a compression test pretty soon, but where do you think its good to start. I already had a mechanic check my injectors, he said gas is going through.
And my Exhaust manifold I'll have to double check. I don't have the manifold cover on so it should be obvious for cracks. But Thanks for the quick respond man!

But again since it happened right after I messed with my injectors, i doubt if its the piston rings. But do you think doing a fuel system cleaning could help? Since it started with my EGR crap?

So I checked the manifold, it was all fine. But idk if cleaning the EGR has to do with this whole thing

How far did you drive it after cleaning the EGR chamber out? Or how long did you run it?

Cleaning that allows a lot of carbon chunks to go into the intake manifold. If you didn't get it all blown through, some chunks COULD have stuck in the valves.
Just a SWAG.

Should have had him check for why it's misfiring instead. Mention that you had the injectors out, but let him see why it's really misfiring.


What is the freeze frame data? What were the conditions when it set these codes?
Have you cleared them and see if they repeat soon?
Does it really run bad?

I Did explain to the mechanic what I did and ask him for the cause... all he said was Idk right now. You'll have to leave it for couple hours on Monday. And after I leaned it out I ran it for like a minuter :|
