Oil Burning (nOOb)

I've been noticing in my '97 Ex, that when i accelerate hard, my engine is burning oil. HUGE noob, any suggestions on what could be causing it???

Impossible to diagnose over the internet. Is it VTEC? Could be the vtec causing it, could be piston rings.. who knows

Ericthecarguy recently said this about a similar problem on a 1997 HX Civic on his Facebook; "The give away is that you see blue smoke under acceleration, this says rings. Cylinder pressures are higher at this time so if your rings are weak this is where it will show up.
