Depending on your mechanical skills it takes 2 hr or so there is a step by step just google the guy who did it put step by step pictures. Have you ever driven an ex civic? It is noticeable but not by much like swapping into a B series engine.

I have never driven an EX, just my LX, and a newer LX as well. I will look into that step-by-step, thanks!

I don't see that much of a noticeable Increas I had an ex 2 door and sold it for a 90 hatchback. I will however do a turbo set up on my D16Y7 for a noticeable difference

Re: Mini-Me Swap within the next couple of weeks

Alright, so I've done quite a bit of research on this, and am about 80% ready to this lol.

I just need someone to clarify ECU's for me, i'm not exactly electrically savvy lol. I hear I need a P28 ECU with an OBD2 to OBD1 harness. Is this correct?

I'm looking online for P28 ECU's, and I keep finding chipped ones that make the check engine light as a shift light, and deleting the knock sensor, and what not. I do not want this. I just want a plug and play v-tec ECU that will work like a stock v-tec. Where have you guys gotten ECU's to use with your mini-me swaps?

I am going to be going to the junk yard and finding a Y8 head, and taking the manifold too. Can I just take the ECU with me as well? Will that work?

I am guessing I need to take the throttle body as well?

Yes the Y8 vtech is obd2 while the Z6 vtech is obd1. You can get it all from the junk yard. I'm a N-Vtech person. But if you do get a head from the junk yard please don't be cheap and do all the valves, retainers, and seals. A complete head overhaul so you know nothing is wrong with the head/parts. I say this because a friend replaced a head and did not listen to me and it had a bent valve.
