d16y8 swap NEED HELP

currently have a d16y8 motor, wondering if I replace d16y8 block with a d16z6 block if it is a straight swap and if all the sensors and exhaust are the same, I have heard several different opinions so I am trusting this site, car is a 98 civic ex 2door 5 speed

Re: d16y8 swap NEED HELP

just the block? then yes straight swap if you are also putting the z6 head in with the block then no the head has different sensors since it is obd1 and your current motor is obd2a, so you would need to swap fuel rail with injectors, dizzy, just to name a couple.
