No A/C '97 Civic B16 Swap

Hello I am new here
Last week I bought a '97 LX Civic. It came with a B16 taken out of a 2000 HX. The guy said he did some rewiring under the hood, but not under the dash. He did say there was A/C, but I don't think I ever felt it while I have been driving around.

Basically I am not getting any A/C. The compressor clutch does not engage and the driver side radiator fan does not spin. I even tried bypassing the relay switch and still no go. The A/C light still comes on, but I see no difference with the idle(500-800rpm).

I am all new to Honda and this is my first Honda car

Can anyone help? Thanks

Re: No A/C '97 Civic B16 Swap

UPDATE:
Good news, the guy confused a connector by the headlight. Anyways, now everything works when I bypass the thermostat.
Does that mean I need a new thermostat?

Another minor problem. When I was messing around with the thermostat connector, I head a popping sound inside. I probably shorted something out. Now when I turn the blowers off, the A/C light stays on, but I can turn if off by clicking the button again.
