Post Question about headers on a 98 civic lx

Ok, I'm a bit confused here.
Megan Racing is selling Headers for a civic 88-00 LX/DX/EX and since my civic is an LX isn't my Catalytic Converter like welded onto my Exhaust malifold? n don't the headers replace that?
So my question here and what is confusing me is,
Do i have to replace or remove my Stock Catalytic Converter if i choose to install headers?
I've asked megan racing and they said i don't. But i have read on the internet that you have to remove the stock cat.
I'm really confused.
Do i have to remove my stock cat to add headers on or not?
