Noticed something on the intake mani

Noticed something on the intake mani I was looking at my engines today and I saw that my JDM D15B says P2J on it, and my Y8 says P2P.
If I'm not mistaken (since I'm new to this I could be...) P2P and P2J are also names for ECUs? Does that mean that when I replace the Y8 with the D15B, I'll need a P2J ECU?
I'm wondering because I doubt the Y8's ECU will allow the 3 Stage to "kick in".
Also...
How can I find out if my D15B is OBD1 or 2? From what I know, my JDM D15 is OBD2, but I want to know a positive way to know for sure. Can't always trust the seller.
