Door help

I made a idiot move and was backing out with my door open. I hit my garage and extended the door and a very small little arm type metal piece that go's into the door and connects to the frame broke. The door will still shut but not lock up tight and water can get in. Is there any way I can fix this without a new door? Thanks.

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

Maybe.
Let me check something.....

NOPE.
I can't see it from here.
You better put up the picture.

Sounds like you broke off the door check strap.
That is easily replaceable.

If there is other damage, like bent body metal, you may need a bodyshop. Contact your insurance company.
