Lost 99 Civic Keys...Help?

Lost 99 Civic Keys...Help?
I lost my 99civic keys. I cannot afford to re-key the lock. I have the keyless entry/factory alarm on it. If I order a new Honda transmitter & program it, will that make the one I lost not work then?? The key is not the newer ones with the chip built in it. Thanx For Any Advice

If you program new transmitters to the car, the old ones will not work.
A dealer should be able to cut you a cheap key by using the VIN.
You will need proof of ownership.
