Another NOOB

Hi all,

So I picked up a 98 dx coupe a little while back and have slowly been gathering info and parts for it as I can. I have a buddy at work that has done alot to these ek's and knows them pretty well.

So far I bought the car, and realized that the kid took me for a ride that I bought it from. I think its been in an accident, defffinately shows signs of it. BUt it drives straight and smooth so it isnt a total loss.

So far I picked up some new wheels and tires, a new clutch as my throw out bearing growls like a dog. New seats, TEIN lowering springs, new steering wheel and hub. Cold air intake, and put a new deck and speakers in it.

Couple things I want/need.

I noticed some people have a radio/hvac area that has **** that run down the left side and not the slides that I have. This would be great so I can put in a double din deck, but my concern is the slides my hvac control uses wont be compatible with the dials the other cluster has.

Next is a tach. I was told that an SI speedo/tach will fit and plug right in and all will work.?

An arm rest, Im a big fella and not having something to rest my arm on kinda sucks lol.

So far those are my concerns. Im sure I will have more.

Yup yup, did it on my 99 DX. Lots of clusters will fit but try and get one that red lines at the same point. I believe DX D16y7 engines are 6800 rpm and SI are 8200 rpm.
