so here we go

The Ride: 98 EX

the sound to figure out today is an odd and fairly loud pop and a slight jerk in acceleration. started a few days ago and it rarely happens, tends to when im really giving it gass for a hill or get a good start off a red light(so anytime im pushing the pedal more than normal flat driving) now it also feel kinda slugish but it is a new car for me so im not sure of the norm but i imagine it has more go than i seem to be getting. from my best assumption of the sound it is from the very front end of the engine. i have a hunch it is the exhaust head as i found a small crack in it today but im not sure it would cause the sound and the jerk though, i will be ordering a new one soon anyhow just want to know if my order should expand for this problem if it requires parts to fix.

cant hear it over road noise in a video and it doesnt hapen at a stand still so its hard to get

Control arm bolts tight in the subframe?

Axle nuts tight?

Motor mounts good?

Well when you say acceleration jerk, I think of automatic transmission lock up for fuel economy, which happens in 3rd gear at a bit over 60MPH and in 4th gear at around 52MPH and faster.

Sounds like a bad motor mount.
