New to civics, looking to get one.
I'm looking for a car that looks good and has a bit more juice ( or power that can be added on later) than my current car. I drive a nissan altima 98' and these are the engine specs:
Displacement: 2389cc (145cid)
Max power: 155 hp (116 kW) @ 5400 rpm (Frontier/Xterra Engines 143 HP @ 4300rpm)
Max torque: 160 ft·lb (217 Nm) @ 4400 rpm
Valve Configuration: DOHC, 16 valves
I'm looking for a used car, and so far I've been looking a lot at the 6th gen civic si, coupe manual. Either 99'/00' is what I'm after. I don't know a but load about civcis and how they were so thats why im here (:
What do you guys think? Does the si civic have more power than my car? Or is it more of a downgrad? If I'm not mistaken the si has 160hp but im not totally sure. Also, the max price I can go up to is about 2/2.5 g's. 3 is pushing it a bit :P
Any suggestions guys?

Re: New to civics, looking to get one.
You won't be able to get a 99-00 Si for less than $3,000 unless it's a salvage title or stolen. The 92-95 Si hatches come close to the $3k range but those get stolen like candy bars and aren't as fast. Since both fall out of your price range.. keep the nissan.
