I need to fix my wife's AC compressor really soon as it is getting hot here in FL. I knew there was a leak so months ago I added some dye and weeks later I noticed it coming from a line at the compressor. I checked it out and found that the line was loose so I tried to tighten it. The bolt was turning but eventually just snapped off and now I am trying to figure out a good way to fix it without replacing the compressor. The compressor does function and I have a feeling it is not the line itself. I feel as if I might be able to use an easy out but it may be corroded in there so what then? Any ideas?
